May is a beautiful time to come on retreat in Harrogate, the blossom is out and as this is the longest retreat we run at the centre you have more time to explore the Dales and the surrounding Harrogate District

During the retreat we  explore Ayurveda and Yoga , Ayurveda is the ancient system of Indian healing and means the “science or wisdom of life” it is the original Functional medicine as it includes many topics, health, diet, herbs, massage, body therapies, oils, food classification, body types. Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life

Knowledge of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create this balance of body, mind and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about and maintain this balance.

We offer residential and non-residential options. Residential options include single rooms or shared rooms. The living accommodation is part of the Chris and Anne-Maries family home where the Centre is based. But if you prefer non- residential there are plenty of other options based in Harrogate close to the Centre.

During the retreats you will also have time to enjoy the spa town of Harrogate and the beautiful surrounding Yorkshire Dales. The retreat runs from Friday 4pm to Monday after lunch

Programme, Day 3 same timings as Day 2

  • 4 -4.15 pm Arrivals may be earlier if you have a treatment booked and welcome
  • 5 pm Meditation
  • 5.45pm Hatha flow class
  • 7pm Dinner

Day 2

  • 7.30 – 8am Ppportunity to learn Neti – nasal cleansing
  • 8 -10.00am Meditation followed by hatha flow class
  • 10.00 -11.15am Brunch
  • 11.15- 1pm Ayurvedic Seminar/ Day 3 Abyhangha self massage session
  • 1pm-4.30pm Free time / option for therapy
  • 4.30 – 6pm Meditation / restorative yoga & yoga nidra
  • 6.30pm Dinner
  • 7.30pm Social time

Day 4

  • 8 -10.00am Meditation followed by hatha flow class
  • 10.00 -11.15am Breakfast
  • Free time / treatments/ walk
  • 12.00 – 12.45 pm Cooking lesson: Kichari with James
  • 12,45 – 2pm Free time / option for therapy
  • 2 – 3pm Lunch
  • 3pm Departures
