May is a beautiful time to come on retreat in Harrogate, the blossom is out and as this is the longest retreat we run at the centre you have more time to explore the Dales and the surrounding Harrogate District
Join us for our Chakra Yoga retreat at our award winning centre the Yorkshire Centre for Wellbeing and learn how Yoga, Chakra balancing, meditation and other techniques renew us bringing harmony and well being in all areas of our lives. This retreat is a a wonderful opportunity to explore the Chakra system in more and also we have more time to explore the Spa town of Harrogate and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. This is the only chakra retreat we run in the year .
According to Yoga all trauma from the past which we are not able to process is stored in the body. The 7 Chakras (physically corresponding with the 7 major junctions on the central nervous system) are the energy centres in the energetic body that store and organise bio-energy and information for specific areas of the body allowing effective healthy functioning.
If one has experienced early trauma the chakra will be blocked partially effecting the functioning of that area of the body leading to emotional and health issues. In this retreat James and Sam will teach you about the different chakras, the psycho-emotional components relating to each chakra and how we can start to clear and heal the charka using yoga and other methods. Its a powerful in depth retreat providing a template for personal healing and transformation.
The retreat will include Meditation, Chakra Yoga classes and seminars on chakra healing. On the retreat you will be served wholesome nourishing food and be able to enjoy the beauty of the gardens at the centre and the surrounding area.
During the retreat we explore Ayurveda and Yoga , Ayurveda is the ancient system of Indian healing and means the “science or wisdom of life” it is the original Functional medicine as it includes many topics, health, diet, herbs, massage, body therapies, oils, food classification, body types. Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life
Knowledge of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create this balance of body, mind and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about and maintain this balance.
We offer residential and non-residential options. Residential options include single rooms or shared rooms. The living accommodation is part of the Chris and Anne-Maries family home where the Centre is based. But if you prefer non- residential there are plenty of other options based in Harrogate close to the Centre.
