We invite you to join us as we transition into a New Year during this 3-day retreat provides a wonderful opportunity to explore Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation in more depth and enjoy a healthy and contemplative start to the New Year as we set our intentions for the coming year

We run 4 retreats a year to explore Ayurveda and Yoga and one retreat on Yoga and the Chakras -please see below.

Ayurveda is the ancient system of Indian healing and means the “science or wisdom of life” it is the original Functional medicine as it includes many topics, health, diet, herbs, massage, body therapies, oils, food classification, body types. Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life

Knowledge of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create this balance of body, mind and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about and maintain this balance.

During the retreats you will also have time to enjoy the spa town of Harrogate and the beautiful surrounding Yorkshire Dales. The retreats typically run from Friday 4pm to Sunday after lunch with exception to the August bank holiday retreat which runs for an extra day and finishes on the Monday.

We offer residential and non-residential options. Residential options include single rooms or shared rooms. The living accommodation is part of the Chris and Anne-Maries family home where the Centre is based. But if you prefer non- residential there are plenty of other options based in Harrogate close to the Centre.

We encourage you to see this as an opportunity to rest, restore and heal the body and mind in a nurturing and safe environment. To make the most of your experience, we recommend minimising or abstaining from caffeine and alcohol, and trying out some cleansing practices such as neti and self-massage.

The full programme of meditation, yoga, and other Ayurvedic healing lifestyle practices is carefully designed to optimize the benefits of a healthy diet and bring you closer to inner calm and peace. In your free time, you may feel like resting, reflecting, and learning, or, if you are feeling energetic, exploring the lovely town of Harrogate and its surroundings.

The menu includes a rich, nutritious breakfast and a home-cooked, nourishing evening meal, food is Ayurvedic designed to balance your doshas ( This is explained in our Ayurvedic seminars) Healthy snacks, fruit, and refreshments are on offer throughout the day.

We welcome all levels of yoga and meditation experience to join us on this retreat
